KRKO/Seattle's Morning Mouth Tim Hunter is going to wrap up his radio career on Friday, August 4, and hang up his headphones. The new morning host is none other than Bryon Mengle, who still has a few more radio miles left on him. Hunter and Mengle first met when Mengle became the morning producer for Murdock, Hunter & Alice on KLSY in Seattle. They've stayed friends and in-touch over the years, with Bryon filling in for Tim on KRKO when he took some vacation time.

Not just co-workers, but Hunter was also Mengle's best man at his wedding 18 years ago.

"I've been playing radio since 1975, so please, don't do the math. I'm just way too busy and needed to cut back on my daily routine," Hunter admits. "I've loved playing Everett's Greatest Hits-all the songs I grew up with and played in my early days of radio. It was fun being a part of the station's 100th birthday last year and I've made more radio friends on my way out. But it's just time and I'm excited to sleep in a little and listen to Bryon whenever I get up."

Mengle's first show as the new morning personality on KRKO will be Monday, August 7.
