WIXX-FM/Green Bay morning host Chris Carson is leaving the Midwest Communications CHR outlet after about a month on air. He recently replaced Jim Murphy in the morning slot and Wednesday was his last day. Prior to joining WIXX, Carson had worked for WDEZ-FM in Wausau, and NASH-FM in Oshkosh.
"After careful consideration, we have decided to move in a different direction with WIXX mornings. We thank Chris Carson for his contribution during his time here and wish him the best," Corey Carter, brand manager for WIXX, told FOX 11. "At this point we have no comment on the future of the show, but we'll have more information soon!"
Carson took over the show after Murphy retired in November, after 32 years at the station. Murphy's co-hosts -- Katie Schurk and Nick Vitrano -- also left.
