Renee Dinino Set to Retire from iHeartMedia Hartford

iHeartMedia's WHCN-FM (The River 105-9)/Hartford, CT has announced the retirement of Renee DiNino from the Classic Hits outlet and as the host of Community Access. Her last day on-air will be June 30. DiNino is a Connecticut native who grew up listening to The River and has most recently served as midday host, Community Access Director and host of "Acoustic Sunday Mornings."

Throughout her career, DiNino received many accolades for her community service and was awarded numerous Humanitarian Awards. She serves on multiple boards and committees including Kenway's Cause Inc., Connecticut FoodShare, Operation Fuel, Special Olympics Connecticut and Autism Speaks, amongst others.

DiNino's most recent passion projects have included working with Connecticut Legislatures on the passing of an animal advocacy bill and working with Campaign for Bully Free Communities as an Ambassador and is a champion of children's causes and literacy and military/veteran centered nonprofits. She's also passionate about working with CT Animal Control Officers to educate the public on the over-population of animals and the proper surrender of them.

"Her commitment to the community is unmatched and she has helped raise millions of dollars to help the people of Connecticut and beyond."
