WHQT-FM (Hot 105)/Miami morning hosts -- James T and Jill Tracey -- are out at the Cox Media Group Urban outlet in a downsizing move, reports the Miami Herald. A radio personality in South Florida for more than a decade, and more that 30 years in the industry, Tracey said she was let go Monday after doing the weekday morning program. She also hosted "Hot Talk with Jill Tracey" airing at 11pm on Sundays.

"They are just trying to cut everywhere they can because they aren't doing the numbers that they used to," Tracey told the Herald.

James T. Thomas' career in radio began in 1970 as a journalism student at Palm Beach Junior College. Over the decades he has worked at various stations, including WIRK-AM, WHRS-FM, WRBD/WCKO and WPTV (Channel 5). His talent led him to become the host of the James T Morning Show on co-owned Hip Hop WEDR. In 2003, Thomas returned to his roots as the midday air talent at WHQT (Hot 105).
