Former Green Bay Packers fullback John Kuhn is out from his role as host of the "Nine 2 Noon" show on Sports/Talk WRNW-FM (97.3 The Game) in Milwaukee. The announcement came abruptly on Monday, following his usual morning slot. Kuhn, who played for the Packers from 2007 to 2015, shared the news on X.

He wrote, "Today I was notified that I am being relieved of my duties with @TheGameMKE and @iHeartMedia." He expressed gratitude towards Jeff Tyler and Tim Scott, appreciating the opportunity to develop his broadcasting talents. Reflecting on his past experiences of being cut from teams, Kuhn remained optimistic about his future, likening his situation to a team on a bye week, indicating a period for self-reflection and improvement.

The "Nine 2 Noon With John Kuhn" show began in May 2020 amid the early days of the pandemic. Prior to this role, Kuhn was involved in digital and broadcast reporting for the Packers and provided commentary during games on WTMJ-AM (620), which broadcast Packers games from 1922 until 2021. WRNW acquired the broadcasting rights for the Packers starting with the 2022 season.

Despite his departure from the radio show, Kuhn is still listed as a sideline reporter for Packers games, with broadcasters employed directly by the team itself.

This change is part of a broader wave of layoffs at iHeartMedia, which owns WRNW.
