News/Talk WGY (News Radio 810) morning host Doug Goudie exits his position at the Albany, NY outlet, becoming the latest in a series of layoffs at iHeartMedia. Goudie, who joined WGY in 2021 after a prior stint at WRKO in Boston, first worked alongside Kelly Lynch in the station's morning slot. Lynch later departed that same year. Goudie had been with WRKO from 2018 until his layoff in 2020, at which point he was replaced by The Grace Curley Show.

In a video shared on social media, Goudie confirmed his departure, saying, "The corporate ax came down, and my neck was under it. So that's that." Reflecting on the timing of his tenure, he noted that he began the role just after the events of January 6, 2021, and his final day was shortly after the 2024 election, calling it "quite the bookend" to his time with the station.

As for his future, Goudie said, "I don't know what's next for me. I'm open to everything and anything. I'm just not sure yet ... When I know more, I'll let you know more."
