Veteran Phoenix personality Gunner Jackson is departing from KMLE (Country 107.9)'s morning show after five years, where he has co-hosted alongside Cheyenne Davis since December, 2019. The duo joined the station after hosting mornings at KDBL (92.9 The Bull) in Yakima, WA. Jackson's earlier career included roles as a morning producer at KBKS in Seattle and as Program Director & morning host at KYSN in Wenatchee, WA. Davis will continue hosting the KMLE morning show solo for the time being.

Jackson shared the news in a heartfelt Instagram post, saying, "Just wanted you to hear the news from me first. I have stepped away from hosting the morning show on KMLE Country 107.9. I'll cherish the memories and relationships I've been able to make with our great listeners in The Valley." He also expressed gratitude for the support he and his family received during his daughter Taytem's battle with cancer, adding, "Now I'm going to focus on what's best for my family and what is next for me in this industry I love."
