Cumulus Media's WWTN (SuperTalk 99.7 WTN) in Nashville will roll out a revamped weekday lineup in January 2025, bolstering its News and Talk programming with notable additions and shifts. The station, known for its strong local and national news coverage, aims to enhance its offerings for Nashville and Middle Tennessee listeners.

Veteran broadcaster Brian Wilson (pictured), host of the afternoon slot (3-7pm), announced his retirement earlier this month, marking the end of a 50-year career. Wilson, who joined SuperTalk 99.7 in 2018 after roles at FOX News and WMAL-FM in Washington, DC, will remain connected to the station in a Host At-Large capacity.

Matt Murphy will transition to afternoons succeeding Wilson. Murphy, a host on SuperTalk 99.7 since 2021, currently holds the midday (Noon-3pm) post. Prior to joining the station, Murphy spent 19 years at Talk 99.5 WZRR in Birmingham, AL, where he served as both a morning host and Program Director.

The lineup will also feature Chad Benson as the new midday host (Noon-3pm). In addition to his live local show, Benson will continue hosting his syndicated program, "The Chad Benson Show," with Radio America Network.

The station's morning drive news coverage gets a boost with the addition of Joan Jones as a news anchor, joining host Dan Mandis, a 2024 Marconi Award winner. Jones brings a decade of experience as morning news anchor at WTOP-FM in Washington, DC. Ken Weaver, SuperTalk 99.7's current news anchor, will continue his role covering weekday afternoons (11am-7pm).

Cumulus Nashville Vice President and Market Manager Allison Warren emphasized the station's commitment to delivering quality programming, "These lineup changes reflect our dedication to providing the best in news and talk for our listeners. With experienced professionals and new voices, we're set to deliver even more engaging content."

Operations Manager Paul Mason added, "This is a win for our audience. Whether on-air or online, our listeners will enjoy the benefits of this talented team."
