Giovanni Returns to Providence Airwaves on B101

iHeartMedia Providence has announced the return of veteran market personality Giovanni to the local airwaves. Starting immediately, Giovanni will take over the afternoon slot on WWBB-FM (B101). He'll be on-air weekdays from 3-7pm. Giovanni, celebrated for his career and deep connection with Rhode Island listeners, steps back into radio after a brief hiatus.

With over 50 years of experience, most notably at WPRO-FM, he started his radio career there as a teen intern. He had been WPRO-FM's morning host for the last 25 years, until last April.

B101 Program Director Adam Rivers expressed his enthusiasm about Giovanni's return. "Giovanni is a Rhode Island legend. Having him back to entertain during the afternoon drive is tremendous for us. We're thrilled to have him on the B101 team," said Rivers.

"I'm thrilled for the opportunity to join B101," Giovanni remarked. "It's a great fit for me, and I have to admit - I'm especially excited that I don't have to wake up at 4am."
