WEEI/Boston Announces Updates, New Afternoon Show

WEEI-FM & AM in Boston unveils several programming changes, including the introduction of a new afternoon sports talk show. Starting January 21, the show will feature three-time NFL champion Ted Johnson, alongside Andy Hart and Nick "Fitzy" Stevens, airing weekdays from 2-6pm ET.

Johnson, known for his tenure with the New England Patriots and three Super Bowl victories, will also join the team for "WEEI Football Sunday," which includes Christian Arcand, Meghan Ottolini, Chris Scheim, Tom E. Curran, Stevens, Hart and Jermaine Wiggins during the NFL season.

With these changes, former afternoon co-host Christian Arcand will transition to hosting nights from 6-10pm ET on weekdays.

Audacy Boston Senior Vice President and Market Manager Mike Thomas said, "Ted brings a wealth of experience and insider knowledge from his days with the Patriots, alongside new Head Coach Mike Vrabel. His broadcasting skills and deep connection with Boston sports will greatly enhance our afternoon programming."

Johnson added, NFL career and his subsequent broadcasting journey. "Being part of WEEI feels like joining another great team, and I'm eager to reconnect with Boston sports fans."

Stevens, a Massachusetts native and avid Boston sports fan, has been with WEEI since 2019 and has contributed to various programs, including postgame shows for Patriots games.
