Saga Communications and Rick Rumble have reached an agreement to extend his tenure as host of the morning show "Rumble in the Morning" on Rock WNOR (FM99) in Norfolk-Virginia Beach through 2027. This contract extension coincides with Rumble's 30-year anniversary at the station, a significant milestone he will celebrate in September.
Reflecting on his three-decade career at FM99, Rumble humorously remarked, "I've been here how long? Truly a privilege to have shared the last 30 years with some of the brightest in our business at media's best run company, Saga Communications. Now help me find my bingo marker."
General Manager Carol Commander expressed her enthusiasm about the renewal, stating, "As a long-time listener and huge fan of Rick Rumble, I'm thrilled we'll have the pleasure of hearing him on our airwaves for at least two more years. Rick's comedic talents, service to our community, and passion for our area and our listeners are unmatched."
Operations Manager Mike Back also praised Rumble's impact, saying, "Working with Rick has been an absolute pleasure. He is a rare combination of talent, creativity, dedication, professionalism, and leadership. He is a legend."
