710 WOR, The Voice of New York, taps veteran broadcaster Larry Mendte as the host of "Mendte in the Morning," weekdays from 6-10am. His show will contain his signature blend of news, analysis and conversation. Mendte also serves as the station's News Director. Longtime New York radio news anchor Jacquelyn Karl will deliver updates on "Mendte in the Morning," while Natalie Vacca, who is approaching 30 years at the station, will continue her role of Executive Producer.

"Since joining our team in 2023 as our News Director and morning drive news anchor, Larry has built a strong connection with our listeners, who have responded very positively to his time as our interim morning show host," said Tom Cuddy, Program Director for 710 WOR. "His remarkable career, which includes an astounding 97 Emmy awards and stints at WABC Radio, Channel 7 Eyewitness News, WPIX/11 and Access Hollywood, speaks for itself. With all of this experience, he's the ideal choice to wake up the tri-state area."

"I am both thrilled and humbled by this opportunity," said Mendte. "Thrilled because 710 WOR is iconic, and humbled because I am walking in the footsteps of legends."
