Brian LaLima to Depart KBME (SportsTalk 790) in Houston

Brian LaLima, co-host of iHeartMedia KBME (SportsTalk 790)/Houston's morning program, has announced he will be leaving "The Sean Salisbury Show" effective immediately to pursue a new opportunity outside the broadcasting industry. The departure was announced on the show this Thursday morning.

LaLima, who joined SportsTalk 790 in July 2022, has been a significant presence on the show since he started on July 5 of the same year. His co-host, Sean Salisbury, took to X to express his gratitude and feelings about LaLima's departure. "Brian LaLima has been the best teammate I've had in my 30 years of local radio. His contribution to the show brought a unique blend of chemistry, fun, and insightful banter, which is truly irreplaceable," Salisbury said.

He added, "Brian not only revitalized my love for this job but also became a great friend. We hope to collaborate again in the future. I deeply appreciate and love you, brother."

Before his radio career, LaLima was a collegiate baseball player at Sul Ross State University for three seasons, eventually earning a BA in mass communications. He also has a background in sales and marketing, where he spent six years prior to his tenure at SportsTalk 790.

The specifics of LaLima's future endeavors remain undisclosed.
