Longtime Houston air personality Monica "Mo" Lunsford has officially joined The Rod Ryan Show on Alternative KTBZ (94.5 The Buzz), marking a format shift and a fresh start for one of the city's most familiar voices. Lunsford, best known for her nearly 10-year run on The Morning Bullpen with George, Mo, and Erik on crosstown Country KILT-FM (100.3 The Bull), was introduced as the newest co-host Monday morning.

Lunsford's former show quietly signed off in December, making way for KILT's new morning team, Frito and Katy, who debuted earlier this year. Her move comes just months after the departure of Tessa Barrera, who left the show in December, 2024 to join Houston Life on KPRC 2.

"We are excited about this new beginning and we can't wait to entertain you on your morning," read a post from The Rod Ryan Show on Instagram, signaling a new era for the popular rock and alternative morning show.
