WGTS (91.9) in Washington, DC has named industry veterans John Nolan and Lisa Berigan as its new afternoon hosts. Nolan, who most recently hosted afternoons at The Fish in Los Angeles, brings more than 30 years of radio experience. He previously spent two decades in the D.C. market at stations including WASH, WBIG, Z104, and WPGC.
"I am so grateful and humbled that God opened the door for me to come home to serve Him and share His love with WGTS listeners," said Nolan.
Berigan is an award-winning broadcaster who has worked in Washington since 2006 at WASH, WBIG, Z104, and WMZQ. Her career also includes stops in Philadelphia, Tulsa, and Seattle. During her time in DC, she worked alongside Nolan, making this a reunion for the pair.
"I am thrilled to be joining the outstanding team at WGTS 91.9," said Berigan. "Thank you to President and CEO Kevin Krueger, CAO Kelly Carvalho, and Program Director Brennan Wimbish for this incredible opportunity! I can't wait to get started and work side by side with my longtime friend and colleague John Nolan."
Program Director Brennan Wimbish praised the duo's addition: "They both bring fresh energy, deep experience, and a love for this community that will build on the foundation already laid by those who came before them."
WGTS President and CEO Kevin Krueger added, "Their contributions will extend well beyond the afternoon show as they both have big hearts for connecting with listeners personally, and connecting with people is what we are all about."
Nolan and Berigan will succeed Johnny and Stacey Stone, who retired in early August. Their on-air debut date will be announced soon.
