Levon Putney Joins New Jersey 101.5 as PM News Anchor

WKXW (New Jersey 101.5)/Trenton is adding longtime broadcaster Levon Putney to its on-air lineup as the station's new afternoon news anchor. Putney announced the move on social media, noting he will handle newscasts from 4:30-9:30pm for the Townsquare News/Talk outlet. His start date is expected to follow shortly after Thanksgiving.

The veteran journalist brings nearly two decades of experience from WCBS 880 in New York, where he served as both a news anchor and reporter until the station ceased operations last year. His career also includes time at 1100 WTAM in Cleveland.

In addition to his New Jersey 101.5 duties, Putney will continue filing reports for iHeartMedia's News/Talk stations from the company's Manhattan offices. He also plans to keep hosting his "Reel Pod News Casts" every Tuesday and Friday.
