iHeartMedia's WBGG (Big 105.9) Miami has signed a new long-term agreement with veteran South Florida morning host Paul Castronovo, extending The Paul Castronovo Show for another multi-year run. Under the deal, the program will continue to air live weekdays from 6-10am on WBGG, where Castronovo has anchored mornings for nearly 25 years.
"iHeart just signed me on for another five years. Either they really love me-or they lost a bet," Castronovo said. He added that the new agreement will mark 47 years of broadcasting in South Florida.
A fixture in Miami-Fort Lauderdale radio for more than four decades, Castronovo previously hosted mornings at stations including WSHE and WZTA before making Big 105.9 his long-time home, becoming one of the region's longest-running and most recognizable air personalities.
"Paul brings a distinctive mix of personality and an authentic community connection that truly resonates with his loyal listeners and advertisers," said Shari Gonzalez, Market President for iHeartMedia Miami-Fort Lauderdale.
Beyond radio, Castronovo is active in community service, helping raise more than two million pounds of food for Farm Share and serving in leadership roles with the Miami Dolphins Foundation and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation.
