WOXL-FM (Mix 96.5) Asheville, NC has rolled out a new weekday programming lineup. Beginning Monday, The TJ Show airs Monday through Saturday from 6-10am. Hosted by radio veteran TJ Taormina (pictured), the program blends humor, pop culture, and upbeat conversation, with an emphasis on a hopeful, positive outlook.
In afternoons, The Melanie Show airs live and local weekdays from 2-7pm. Melanie Wilkinson, who has been part of Mix 96.5 mornings since 2022, moves into the drive-time slot bringing her trademark positivity and listener interaction.
"I'm excited to bring the same laughs, music, and positivity people have come to expect from me, with fun daily topics, real conversation, and plenty of listener interaction," Wilkinson said. "The show is built to feel familiar and upbeat, whether people are leaving work, picking up the kids, or running errands around Western North Carolina."
Steve Richards, Operations Director for Asheville Media Group, said the goal is to keep Mix 96.5 feeling good throughout the day while strengthening its local connection in afternoons.
"Mix 96.5 has always been about Good Music, Good Mood, and this lineup keeps that going from start to finish," Richards said. "TJ brings a fun, real approach to mornings, and Melanie will do what she does best: connect with our community in an authentic and energetic way."
