MediaCo is adding another prominent New York voice to its morning strategy at WQHT-FM (HOT 97) in New York. Kazeem Famuyide announced via social media that he will begin co-hosting alongside The Kid Mero on HOT 97 Mornings with Mero, starting tomorrow.
"I've listened to HOT 97 my entire life. I was born here. Raised here. Raised by Hip-Hop," Famuyide wrote. "The opportunity to wake up the greatest city in the world on the most legendary station in music is not lost on me. I've waited my entire life for this."
The Kid Mero confirmed the move by sharing Famuyide's post and welcoming him to the morning show via social media.
Known widely as "Kazeem," Famuyide has built a substantial following across digital platforms, podcasts, and television, where his commentary often intersects sports, music, and culture. His addition points to a morning approach that blends the immediacy and tone of online culture with the reach of terrestrial radio.
The Kid Mero, a Bronx native, currently hosts Victory Light with The Kid Mero and co-hosts 7pm in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony.
