Classic Rock U has expanded its reach with the addition of KGLK-FM (The Eagle) in Houston, marking another milestone for the syndicated program hosted by Adam Reader, known as the Professor of Rock.
The show, distributed nationally by Skyview Networks, launched on the station over the weekend. With the Houston affiliate, Classic Rock U now airs on more than 30 stations nationwide, including KSHE-FM, KRSP-FM and KSLX-FM.
Travis Moon, Director of Operations at KGLK-FM, said the show adds depth and storytelling to the station's weekend lineup, citing Reader's artist interviews and behind-the-scenes insights into classic rock history.
Reader said the Houston addition reflects the program's early growth trajectory. He noted that Classic Rock U builds on the audience he cultivated through his Professor of Rock YouTube channel, bringing those stories and songs to radio listeners across the country.
Classic Rock U is produced at WDRV-FM (97.1 The Drive) and is offered as a four-hour weekend program, along with one-minute vignette segments available weekdays.
