Roser Communication Networks has announced significant programming changes at its Utica, NY stations, including the return of longtime Central New York personality Dave Wheeler. Beginning March 2, Wheeler will host weekday mornings on WBUG-WBGK (Bug Country 99.7/101.1) with "The Dave Wheeler Show." He will also be heard weeknights on WSKS-WSKU (KISS-FM 97.9/105.5).

Wheeler returns to Roser after 17 years with Townsquare Media, where he held various management roles and most recently hosted mornings on Big Frog 104. He previously worked for Roser earlier in his career.

Dave Silvers, Operations Manager of Bug Country, said he has maintained contact with Wheeler over the years and welcomed his return.

"It was fun to watch him grow with us years ago, then really step up his game, working in many areas at several competitor stations," Silvers said. "Now, I'm happy to have his experience and expertise in helping Bug Country and our other stations in the company."

Wheeler said he is looking forward to rejoining the Roser team and expanding his programming and content efforts across both Bug Country and KISS-FM.

As part of the changes, Liz will return to mornings on KISS-FM. She said the opportunity to rejoin the KISS Morning Show was one she could not refuse, describing the Roser organization as family.

KISS-FM Program Director Shaun Andrews said adding both Wheeler and Liz strengthens the company's position in the local market.

"To have both Liz and Dave on our programming team makes us an unstoppable force," Andrews said. "Having two well-established morning shows who live and breathe this local market will give our listeners an incredible experience."
