iHeartMedia Pittsburgh's 102.5 WDVE has named Tad Wissel co-host of the "Randy Baumann and the DVE Morning Show," effective immediately. Wissel has appeared weekly on the program for the past six months and now joins the show full-time alongside Randy Baumann, Abby Krizner and Mike Prisuta.
According to the Rock outlet, Wissel will contribute original comedy, storytelling and Pittsburgh-focused segments designed to reflect the city's culture and humor.
"Tad has been a natural fit with the show from the start, so this was a no-brainer," Baumann said. "He understands Pittsburgh in a very specific and authentic way which has always been the foundation of the DVE Morning Show."
Wissel previously spent a decade at SLB Radio Productions creating and producing content. A southwestern Pennsylvania native, he originally started his broadcasting career as an intern on the DVE Morning Show.
In addition to podcast hosting work, including the frisbee-focused podcast "Sin the Fields," Wissel also served as a firefighter for the City of Pittsburgh during the past three years. He is a graduate of Edinboro University.
"Being part of the DVE Morning Show is a dream come true," Wissel said. "I'm beyond excited to join this incredible team and connect with listeners in the greatest city in the world."
