WHTZ (Z100)/New York has named Kayla Thomas as its new nighttime host, set to debut Monday, July 27. Thomas will be heard weekdays from 6-10pm. A 2026 Gracie Award winner, Thomas joins the iHeartMedia CHR outlet after four years hosting late nights on co-owned KIIS-FM/Los Angeles.
Thomas began her radio career as an intern in Roanoke, VA, before moving to Trenton, where she hosted PopCrush Nights. Under her tenure, the show grew into the nation's largest syndicated CHR nighttime program, reaching more than 50 affiliates. In addition to her radio work, she has hosted Ultra Music Festival and interviewed artists including Adele, BTS, Justin Bieber, Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus and Gwen Stefani.
"I'm thrilled to join Z100 as the new night personality. Being on Z100 has been a dream of mine since I started on the radio," Thomas said. "I'm incredibly grateful to Thea Mitchem and Mark Adams for believing in me and this opportunity. As someone who grew up on the East Coast, coming home makes this moment even more special, and I can't wait to connect with listeners every night and be part of what makes Z100 so iconic."
"Kayla is an extraordinarily talented personality both behind the mic and on camera, curates a dynamic social media presence, and possesses boundless enthusiasm and passion," said Mark Adams, Program Director for Z100 and Vice President of CHR Programming. "I'm excited to have her join our team at iHeartMedia New York, and know she'll be a fantastic addition to Z100."
