Shawn Tempesta Takes Over KLUC Morning Show

Audacy has named veteran Las Vegas personality Shawn Tempesta as the new morning host for 98.5 KLUC, where he will be heard weekdays from 6-10am. Tempesta returns to the company after beginning his radio career at sister KMXB-FM (Mix 94.1), where he later spent 11 years hosting afternoons.

"We are excited to welcome Shawn back to Audacy Las Vegas," said JB King, Brand Manager of 98.5 KLUC. "Radio is at its best when it's live, local and fueled by energy and genuine passion, and that's Shawn."

Calling the move a homecoming, Tempesta said, "To come back home to Audacy and get the keys to a Las Vegas radio institution is beyond humbling and exciting. I am so pumped to wake the valley up each morning!"

Tempesta brings more than 20 years of television and radio experience to the role. In addition to his previous tenure with Audacy, his career has included stops at Audacy's WBMX-FM in Boston, as well as Las Vegas stations KVGS-FM and KKLZ-FM. He is also known for co-creating the "Aimee + Shawn" morning show and helping build the brand of 102.7 VGS.
