Jarrett Payton Joins The Score's Morning Show

WSCR-FM (104.3 The Score) in Chicago will launch a new morning show pairing Jarrett Payton with David Haugh beginning August 31. "Haugh and Payton" will air weekdays from 5:30-10am CT, adding the former NFL running back and veteran Chicago broadcaster to The Score's weekday lineup.

Payton most recently served as an anchor for WGN-TV's 4 and 9pm weekday newscasts and host of "GN Sports." The son of late Chicago Bears Hall of Famer Walter Payton, he also has experience in business, public speaking and philanthropy through the Jarrett Payton Foundation.

"Today marks an exciting new chapter for The Score," said Vice President and Brand Manager Mitch Rosen. "We're excited to welcome Jarrett Payton and believe his experience, perspective and deep connection to Chicago and its great fan bases will be a tremendous addition to our morning show alongside David Haugh."

Payton said joining The Score carries special significance because of his family's history with the station.

"I'm truly excited and deeply honored to join the team at The Score," Payton said. "This place has always felt like family to me. My dad graced these airwaves back in the '90s, and the thought of being part of that same legacy means everything."
