'Uncle Mike' Hansen Joins Neversink Media Team

Longtime Hudson Valley radio personality "Uncle Mike" Hansen has joined Neversink Media and AK22 Digital Media, taking on roles with WALL Radio, WDLC Country and 98.1 KZE. Hansen will host middays on WDLC Country and serve in the newly created position of Community Relations Director. In that role, he will develop and support relationships with civic and community organizations throughout the Hudson Valley.

In addition to his WDLC airshift, Hansen will be heard on WALL Radio, WYNY The Pike, 98.1 KZE and other local media initiatives operated by the companies.

Hansen joins the group following 15 years at WRWD, where he became known as "Uncle Mike." Beyond his on-air work, he has been active with community organizations, veterans groups, charitable causes and events throughout the region.

His involvement with the Hudson Valley veterans community includes work with veterans organizations, POW/MIA awareness events, VFW programs and efforts supporting military families. Hansen was honored by Hudson Valley Honor Flight at its 2025 Lunch of Honor for his support of area veterans.

Hansen has also participated in first responder events, charitable fundraisers and other community programs. During his tenure at WRWD, he was involved in fundraising efforts for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and used his on-air platform to highlight local organizations and events.
