KNBR (The Sports Leader) San Francisco has signed longtime Bay Area sports broadcaster and San Francisco 49ers radio voice Greg Papa to a new agreement that returns him to the station's weekday programming lineup. Papa will host "Lunch With Papa," a new one-hour midday feature airing weekdays from noon-1pm. Debuting later this month, the program will pair Papa with John Lund, whose midday show airs from 10am-2pm.

During football season, Papa will also provide twice-weekly "Niners Updates With Greg Papa," calling into KNBR's morning and afternoon drive programs with coverage and analysis of the 49ers.

The agreement brings Papa back to KNBR's weekday lineup after previously spending seven years as a daily host on the station. He continues as the radio play-by-play voice of the 49ers.

"Greg Papa is a Bay Area icon in sports broadcasting. His name and voice are synonymous with sports in this market," said Cumulus San Francisco/Los Angeles Regional Vice President and Market Manager Larry Blumhagen. "We are excited to have Greg back on air sharing his insights about all things Niners, and more!"

"I'm thrilled to be back on The Sports Leader and even more thrilled to be working with my good friend John Lund again," said Papa. "Let's do this!"

KNBR announced Papa's return during its annual "49ers Roundtable" live broadcast event in Alameda, held in conjunction with the start of the team's 2026 season.
