Stephens Media Group names Josh Venable as the new Program Director of KTSO-FM (Totally Awesome 80's)/Tulsa, effective immediately. He'll continue his programming and morning show duties on co-owned Alternative KMYZ-FM (Z104.5 The Edge). Venable started his radio career in Dallas back in 1993 while still in high school. Before relocating to Tulsa to helm KMYZ in 2013, he was Program Director of The Edge in Dallas and Music Director at 987FM in Los Angeles.
"Josh has been involved in the Totally Awesome 80's brand since it's inception in 2016 so this promotion was an easy one for us," stated SMG Senior VP of Programming Bob Thornton. "Josh is smart, passionate and one of the best programmers in the country."
