Premiere Networks-syndicated weekday morning program, John Boy & Billy's "The Big Show," got a special shout out in Country singer Hardy's song "Boy From The South" from his new album "Hixtape Volume 1." The Charlotte-based duo, whose radio show can be heard on nearly 60 Rock and Country music U.S. affiliate are mentioned in the first verse, which is sung by featured Country star Cole Swindell:
Little Royal Pine Tree on the dashboard
Little John Boy and Billy on the FM
Might win a hundred dollars if he's the fifth caller
And names the bass player from Zeppelin (Jimmy J)
"We are honored to be included in Hardy's song," said John Boy and Billy. "This is truly a first. In the past, music artists have created custom versions of their songs that included us, but this song is legit. It's a true cultural reference, and it just doesn't get any better than that."
