Urban One Elevates C. Kristopher Simpson, Hires Spinelli

C. Kristopher Simpson (pictured) is appointed Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Urban One, parent of Radio One. Concurrently, Tony Spinelli is named Chief Information Officer. Simpson is a veteran attorney who'll now oversee legal operations across the company's five divisions. Spinelli is a technology vet who'll manage all aspects of the company's technology infrastructure.

Simpson is 12-year company vet, most recently serving as VP and Deputy General Counsel. Throughout his tenure with Urban One, he's provided counsel to the board of directors, executive management and corporate finance/treasury teams. Additionally, he's served as counsel on various acquisitions and divestitures across Urban One's divisions, managed its outside counsel and worked with its investment advisors on various refinancing projects.

Spinelli comes to Urban One after more than 25 years in the financial services industry. Most recently, he led Fractal Industries, a digital startup focused on delivering analytic insights and data science to solve technology challenges and real-time through digital concepts and cloud-based delivery. Before that, he served as Senior Vice President for Capital One Financial Corporation. Additionally, Spinelli has led technology innovations and cybersecurity programs as an executive at several other Fortune 500 companies.
