Syndicated air personality Tom Joyner is celebrating 25 years in the entertainment industry and has announced he will retire in December. The longtime host of "The Tom Joyner Morning Show," he revolutionized radio when his daily, African-American targeted music show premiered featuring news, interviews, live performances and more. In addition to his show, his brand extensions include annual events, engaging digital platforms and a dedication to serving, empowering and educating his loyal community/audience.

Whether raising money for education or providing aid to those in need, giving back to the community is always priority for Joyner. From relief funds that aid hurricane and tornado victims to supporting the friends and families that take-in the survivors, Joyner has been a leader in generating response. He's currently leading the campaign to promote health and wellness in the African-American community. His annual wellness-emphasis period, "Take a Loved One to the Doctor Season," expands upon the weekly "Get Well Wednesday" featured segments on the broadcast show.

The show is led by comedians Sherri Shepherd, Kym Whitley, Guy Torry and Damon Williams and also serves as the place to break new music as Joyner has hosted more than 200 Live In Studio Jam performances by today's biggest performing artists.

Joyner just sold out his 20th annual "Party with a Purpose," the Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage, in record time. Sailing in April, 2019 to raise money for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the fully chartered cruise boasts concerts, theme nights, activities and grown folks fun. Over 50,000 people have sailed with Joyner through the years.

The Tom Joyner Foundation continues to thrive supporting students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities with over $65 million raised to date. Each month Joyner recognizes the HBCU School of the Month and awards scholarships to deserving students looking to make a difference.

Joyner has also been inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame and received the National Association of Broadcasters' Marconi Award, Billboard's "Best Urban Contemporary Air Personality" award, the NAACP Image Award and many honorary doctorates.
