Estrella Media Appoints Eddie Leon EVP/Radio Programming

Estrella Media appoints 25-year radio veteran Eddie Leon, as Executive VP/Radio Programming, effective immediately. He'll oversee programming at Estrella Media's seventeen owned and operated stations across the U.S., including the Don Cheto Radio Network. Leon's career began in California's central valley, namely Santa Maria, Bakersfield, Fresno, Stockton, Sacramento and Salinas.
In 1997, Leon became a Spanish language radio consultant for a newly-created station in Chicago. He then continued his career as a consultant for Spanish language radio stations in Los Angeles. He's originally from the state of Michoacan, Mexico but immigrated to the U.S. in 1977 and studied broadcast journalism at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CA.
