Eric Johnson Named ABC Audio Director Podcast Programming

Eric Johnson joins ABC Audio as the new Director and Executive Producer of Podcast Programming, beginning in mid-March. He's an award-winning producer whose worked in nearly every part of ABC News over his 13-year career with the company. In this new role, Johnson will build on the network's existing podcasts and help design a fresh podcast network. Most recently, he served as Senior Broadcast Producer at "Good Morning America" and has worked with "20/20," ABC News Digital and "Nightline."

Johnson won a duPont Award as co-producer of Diane Sawyer's interview with Caitlyn Jenner and multiple Emmy Awards for projects including his role as senior producer of ABC News' Town Hall "The President and the People: Race in America." He's also co-produced the PBS documentary "Return to the Wild" and was senior producer for "Shining a Light: Conversations on Race in America," produced in conjunction with A&E Networks.
