Lemonada Media to Debut ''In The Bubble with Andy Slavitt''

"In the Bubble with Andy Slavitt," the fifth weekly podcast series from the Lemonada Media podcast network will launch on Wednesday, April 1. Host and executive producer is healthcare expert Andy Slavitt, a recognizable face you've seen most recently discussing the COVID-19 virus and architect of stayhomesavelives.us. The trailer was released on Friday, March 27, with new weekly episodes dropping each Wednesday.

In this new series, Slavitt will broadcast from his own bubble, with production assistance from his teenage son, Zach and will chat with important guests and friends, including Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban for his premier episode. Additional early guests will include Chelsea Clinton, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, Beto O'Rourke, writer Tina Fey, former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci, former Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts and international security expert Juliette Kayyem, among others.

"One privilege I have is that most people return my calls. I have a pact with myself that every conversation I have with an insider, whether in the White House, the Senate, or media, or with a scientist or a CEO that is of use to people, I will share," said Slavitt. "That's why I thought it was a perfect time to launch a podcast with Lemonada. I picture people sitting around together, being able to listen to relevant facts in context. I hope to provide some strength to get through these really confusing times. So while I will be interviewing people you need to hear from and explaining what I think, I also plan to share a little joy as well."

"Andy has been such a calming and clear voice during the most confusing time in recent American history, like Churchill from his war room, and Lemonada is dedicated to creating content and communities that help people get through the most pressing human issues of our time," said CEO Jess Cordova Kramer. "We see this show as part nonpartisan truth-telling and part hope, helping Americans and people all over the world process information through Andy's trusted filter, from his home in Minnesota, and helping us get through what's to come together," explained Stephanie Wittels Wachs, Lemonada's Chief Creative Officer.

Slavitt has led some of the largest private and public sector health care initiatives in recent decades. He was appointed by former President Obama to serve as the Acting Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), a position he held from 2015-2017. He first came to public view as the lead firefighter, overseeing the turnaround and re-launch of Healthcare.gov. He's been named to the Politico 50, has been recognized as one of the 10 most influential people in health care and has one of the largest and most influential accounts on Twitter.
