Cumulus has appointed Paul Mason as Program Director for WGFX-FM (104.5 The Zone)/Nashville's live and local sports leader, effective May 1. Mason joins Nashville from West Palm Beach, FL, where he served as Program Director for NewsTalk 850 WFTL and Fox Sports 640, which serve West Palm Beach and Miami/Fort Lauderdale. Prior to that, he was Assistant Program Director for iHeartMedia Cincinnati's 700WLW for 6 years.

"WGFX is more than a radio station; it is an entire sports ecosystem. From our on-air talent to the Tennessee Titans and University of Tennessee Volunteers play-by-play, to our on-demand audio on 1045thezone.com, WGFX is the live and local sports leader for Middle Tennessee," said Allison Warren, Vice President Cumulus Nashville. "We are thrilled to announce Paul Mason as the next Program Director for 104-5 The Zone. Paul is an experienced programmer who brings a passion for sports and a fresh perspective to sports entertainment. We're confident that he'll lead WGFX to new heights."

Mason commented: "It's an honor to join 104.5 The Zone, the home of the Tennessee Titans and UT Vols. I want to thank Allison Warren, Charlie Cook, and the entire Cumulus Nashville family for this amazing opportunity. WGFX is doing a lot of great things, and I am excited to work with the entire team to help take 104.5 The Zone to new heights."
