SummitMedia's Richmond stations WKHK FM (K95), WKLR FM (Classic Rock 96.5), WJSR FM (100.9 JACK FM), WURV FM (103.7 Play), WKHK- HD2 (G104.3) and WURV-HD2 (Sports 106.1) will be holding a completely online based food drive from Friday, May 1st through Sunday, May 31st to support Feed More. Each of the six Richmond stations will be asking listeners to make monetary donations at K95Country.com, ClassicRock965.com, 1037Play.com, FeedRichmond.org or on any station social media platform.
Feed Richmond has been held each November since 2008 to collect food for those in need during the holiday season with an average collection of over 200,000 meals per year. For the first time ever, SummitMedia is holding a Spring Feed Richmond food drive to support Feed More during the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.
Feed More is one of the backbone nonprofit organizations in Central Virginia, collecting and distributing food to neighbors in need across 29 counties and five cities in the region. During the current pandemic, Feed More is on the frontlines of fighting hunger in Central Virginia.
"SummitMedia LLC is focused on serving Richmond during COVID-19. By supporting Feed More, our listening audience will have a direct impact on friends and neighbors who are food insecure during this difficult time. Please donate to this worthy cause if you can," said SummitMedia Richmond President Bob Willoughby.
