FOX News Audio to Release Memorial Day Podcast Specials

FOX News Audio
FOX News Audio

FOX News Audio will offer three one-hour podcast specials to partnered radio affiliates in celebration of Memorial Day and the many brave Americans who have served the U.S. Beginning Thursday, special editions of "The Proud American Series," "America Together" and "The Trey Gowdy Podcast" will be made available for free download across FOX News Audio's affiliate websites.

FOX Nation host Johnny Joey Jones, a combat veteran and double amputee, will helm "The Proud American" series special, focusing on saluting those unsung heroes who protect the freedoms enjoyed on a daily basis. In honor of Memorial Day, Jones will highlight four people who used personal tragedies as an opportunity to serve others, including three New York City police offers who climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to honor a fallen colleague, a nonprofit that provides assistance and friendship via trained service dogs to disabled veterans and children, the co-founder of a grocery delivery service for the immunocompromised and a Gold Star mother who channeled her grief into a foundation to support fellow military families.

Co-hosted by FOX News Radio (FNR) reporters Tonya J. Powers, Eben Brown, Jeff Monosso and Gurnal Scott, the America Together podcast special will feature uplifting accounts of diverse communities coming together. Throughout the hour, listeners will hear inspirational stories, such as a frontline nurse who traveled state lines to volunteer in the epicenter in New York City, a group of educators and musicians who host a virtual Sunday morning singalong for children of the Jewish faith, a 10-year-old who is helping homeless children in his area, and a man who is working overtime to support veterans, supplementing his regular work hours by volunteering at the local VA hospital.

Former congressman and FOX News contributor Trey Gowdy will host a special edition of "The Trey Gowdy Podcast" where he will offer listeners advice for combatting the fear and anxiety that, like him, many across the country are facing during the uncertainty. Additionally, Gowdy will present interviews with Baylor Women's Hall of Fame Basketball coach Kim Mulkey and his friend and former colleague Congressman Tim Scott (R-SC), where he will discuss the principles of loyalty and self-worth, along with the important figures who influenced their careers.
