iHeartMedia Flips WJDX/Jackson to ''The New Real 105.1''

iHeartMedia/Jackson, MS, flips Classic Hits WJDX-FM (105.1 The River) to Urban as "The New Real 105.1," Jackson's New #1 For Hip Hop and R&B, effective immediately. The station will kick off the launch with 10,000 uninterrupted songs in a row from artists including Drake, Roddy Ricch, Chris Brown, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion and more. Additionally, the station will feature shows and air personalities including T-Roy, Big Sue, Papa Keith and "The Breakfast Club," with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God in mornings.

"We are excited to launch The New Real 105.1 in Jackson and bring another choice for Hip Hop and R&B to the market," said iHeartMedia Jackson Market President Mike Comfort. "Based on our research, we know not only is this going to connect with our market's audience, but this format is also going to produce a strong listener base for our advertisers - things just got real."

The new lineup is The Breakfast Club (5:30-10am), Big Sue (10am-3pm), Papa Keith (3-7pm), T-Roy (7pm-12am) and The Mix Tape w/DJ 33 1/3 (10pm-2am, Fridays and Saturdays).
