Chenevey Exits CBS News Radio as Anchor & Correspondent

Jim Chenevey exits CBS News Radio after 36 years. He most recently anchored the evening CBS World News Roundup, as well as hourly newscasts. During his time there, Chenevey reported on major stories such as the release of South Africa's Nelson Mandela, the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan and was a part of the company's Peabody Award-winning coverage of "China In Crisis" in 1989.
Prior to joining CBS News in 1988, Chenevey served as news anchor at KIMN/Denver from 1980-1981, morning news anchor at WGAR/Cleveland from 1981-1983, News Director at WHYT/Detroit from 1983-1984 and News Director at KNX/Los Angeles from 1984-1988. He is a graduate of the journalism school at Kent State University.
