RADIO ONLINE | Thursday, June 4, 2020 |
Grammy, Stellar and Dove Award winner and radio host Hezekiah Walker took his message of hope and healing to George Floyd's memorial service at North Central University in Minneapolis. He's the host of AURN's "The Hezekiah Walker Gospel Countdown," and broadcasts daily "The Hezekiah Walker Show With Neicy Tribbett" from WLIB in New York.
"This is my first time flying since COVID. I'm on my way to Minnesota to sing at the George Floyd memorial. Pray for me. I'm honored the Floyd family requested "Every Praise" and that's what we will do today... Praise," said Bishop Walker on Instagram. His song "Every Praise" was recently acknowledged as the number one Gospel song of the past decade by Billboard.
The eulogy will be given by Reverend Al Sharpton who is expected to call for a new social movement at Thursday's memorial service and for federal legislation aimed at putting an end to racial injustice by the police.
