Report: iHeartMedia/Syracuse OM Rich Lauber Exits

Rich Lauber exits iHeartMedia/Syracuse, NY as Operations Manager after 35 years on Central New York radio, reports The Post-Standard. He also handled afternoons on Country WBBS (B104.7), where he spent most of his career. As OM, he oversaw AC WYYY (Y94), CHR WWHT (Hot 107.9), News/Talk WSYR (Newsradio 570) and Urban WHEN (Power 620).

The newspaper also reports that co-owned WMIL (FM106.1)/Milwaukee Assistant PD/Music Director and afternoon host Quinn is voicetracking afternoons at B104.7 with the on-air name "Shanna." Prior to WMIL, she was morning co-host at iHeartMedia Hot AC WRVE-FM (99.5 The River)/Albany, NY, and previously worked at Entercom/Buffalo.

Lauber, 60, graduated from Le Moyne College and started working at Y94FM in early 1985 as a Music Director and Air Personality, according to the The Post-Standard archives. He also became Assistant PD of WSYR in 1988. Lauber was the first afternoon talent on B104.7 when it first changed format to Country music in 1993, back when its call letters were WKFM under NewCity Communications. He held the 3-7pm shift for more than two decades while also serving as PD.
