Dixo Partners with Acast for Spanish-Language Podcasting

Dixo is celebrating 15 years of Spanish-language podcasting by partnering with global podcast giant Acast to further develop its programming and distribute it to audiences around the world.

Under the slogan "We are podcasts," Dixo began its foray into podcasting in Mexico in 2005, producing and curating a slate of informative, diverse, and practical audio content. With more than 5,000 published productions to-date - with genres and categories including science fiction, cinema, economics, literature, politics, wellness, nutrition, and more - Dixo amassed a sizeable audience of engaged listeners to become the leading podcast network in Latin America.

Dany Saadia, CEO and founder of Dixo, was an early adopter of the podcast format. Saadia aimed to use Spanish-language podcasting to transform storytelling in Latin America. With award-winning work in the film industry, Saadia now works to transform written scripts into audio pieces that bring stories and characters to reality.

"A podcast with high quality production and a well-written script attracts listeners in a way that's unique to other media formats, often fostering a special community of listeners. Platforms like Amazon Audible, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and more allow us to reach audiences wherever they are," Saadia said. "As we move into our next phase of massive growth, Acast will enable us to elevate our reach and get our programming in front of even more listeners. We're excited to partner with Acast to expand the world of Spanish-language podcasting."

Acast will host, distribute, and monetize Dixo's podcast programming, enabling Dixo shows to reach new audiences and attract new advertising partners. Acast will allow Dixo's portfolio of shows to support sponsorships. In addition, Acast's pioneering dynamic ad insertion technology - which allows for the delivery of timely, contextualized podcast ads specific to listeners across any device or platform - will also enable advertisers to easily run ad campaigns on Dixo podcasts.

Dixo produces 14 weekly shows for the "Dixo Casters" network, which include Bien Comer con Fernanda Alvarado, Fuera de la Caja con Macario Schettino, and Disidencia con Pablo Majluf. Dixo is also working on two upcoming shows for "Dixo Originals," which are limited series of sci-fi, true crime, and other genres: La Zero T, a fiction podcast set in Mexico, andWhite Gringos Matter, a limited series editorial about Black Lives Matter.

Fifteen years after the launch of its first podcast, Dixo is now also announcing Dixo Academy, a new platform to seek and train new podcasters, providing an educational experience involving scripting and production. Dixo aims to unite producers in Mexico and grow Mexico's culture of podcasting alongside them.
