ESPN 690 Official Florida State Affiliate for Jacksonville

Cox Media Group has announced an agreement solidifying ESPN 690 as Florida State University's official radio affiliate in Jacksonville, as secured by the Seminoles' multimedia rightsholder, Learfield IMG College. The relationship calls for ESPN 690 to broadcast live all football and men's basketball games for the upcoming 2020-21 athletics season. This is the first affiliate agreement for ESPN 690 since its debut in Jacksonville in January 2019.

"Aligning with the Noles further cements ESPN 690 as the premier sports radio brand in Jacksonville," said Katie Reid, VP & General Manager for CMG Jax. "It also shows our commitment to serving our listeners and advertisers with quality sports content."

"Partnering with the Seminole Sports Network from Learfield IMG College on ESPN 690 is a perfect fit," added Nick Figueredo, Director of Branding and Programming for ESPN 690. "We are very excited to be the Jacksonville home for the Florida State Seminoles football and men's basketball teams, and we think our listeners will be as well!"

As an affiliate, ESPN 690 will provide play-by-play coverage of the games for listeners and will have exclusive access to team coaches. The ACC unveiled a conference-only football schedule for 2020, slated to begin September 10. The men's basketball program has yet to announce its schedule.

"We are extremely excited to offer this great platform to our local advertising partners," said Randy Cable, Integrated Sales Manager for ESPN 690. "This will be a great opportunity for Jacksonville area businesses to connect with the loyal Florida State fans who are known to support the businesses that support their favorite team."
