Longtime radio personality Connie Kellie, host of the "Connie & Fish" morning show on WLHT (Mix 95-7)/Grand Rapids died Monday, January 4, 2021 after a short battle with liver cancer. She joined the Townsquare Hot AC outlet in 2012, and was the driving force behind such causes as Connie & Fish's Christmas Kids and the station's efforts to support the Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk. Her audience will always remember her for her infectious laugh.

In her 20-plus years in radio, Kellie worked in Mt. Pleasant, Lansing, Jackson MS, Omaha, Madison WI, Milwaukee and then found her way back to Michigan. She was honored in 2019 with a Gracie Award by the Alliance of Women In Media for her broadcasting excellence.

Kellie's long-time on-air partner Fish said, "Over 25 years ago, this incredible, smart and strong woman allowed me the opportunity to be a part of her radio career. Our journey will not only be with those who were touched by her immense talent, but engraved in my heart. Thank you, Connie, for this adventure. I look forward to the day we meet again."

Townsquare CEO Bill Wilson said, "We are devastated by the loss of our friend and colleague, Connie Kellie. She made a huge impact on her community, her station, and our company. We will miss her very much, and are forever grateful for the time we had together."

Townsquare SVP/Programming Kurt Johnson added, "Connie was a rare talent who not only became a wildly popular radio host, she actually changed the business. She pioneered the way for countless women in radio and inspired her listeners by being bold, unapologetic and uncompromising in creating content. But more than that, Connie was one of the most joyful people I've known. She lived life loudly on her terms, and did good every day for everyone around her. She made the world better."

Kellie is survived by her husband, Dan, and longtime on-air partner (Fish Calloway). Connie and Fish previously were on-air in Milwaukee, Madison and Omaha.

Mix 95-7 has posted a tribute to Kellie and on-air remembrances will air throughout the week on Mix 95.7 FM. It was her desire that any memorial contributions be made to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
