Andrew Jeffries Resigns from iHM/Los Angeles as EVP/P

iHeartMedia/Los Angeles EVP/Programming Andrew Jeffries has reigned and will exit on May 28. He's returning to New Zealand after being away for 25 years to spend more time with family and friends. According to an internal memo from iHeartMedia President/Southwest Division Kevin Legrett, "Even though he will be leaving Los Angeles, Andrew will continue working with iHeartMedia as we build-out new technology and advance our digital offerings."

He continued, "Andrew has had, and continues to have, a profound impact across our iHM-LA 8 radio stations, digital stations/properties, marketing/promotions, podcasting, data and our engineering department over the last 10 years. He has played an integral role in the development the iHM-LA culture, operational structure and brands and he will be difficult to replace. I would personally like to wish him and his family the best of success in all future endeavors."

Jeffries began his international radio career in New Zealand in 1989 and since then has worked in England, Scotland and Australia. While in Europe, he was Program Director for KISS 100 London and was also Head of Programming for Music Choice -- Europe. In 2008, Jeffries moved to the U.S. to serve as Program Director at than Clear Channel's Star 101.3 in San Francisco. Later that year he became Head of AC Formats for Clear Channel/Los Angeles' 104.3 MYFM and KOST 103.5. All told, he spent the last 12 years heading up programming in Los Angeles for Clear Channel, then iHeartMedia.

Legrett also announced that iHeartMedia's Chief Programming Officer/President of National Programming Group Tom Poleman will be handle the Los Angeles Region with him and "have major involvement in all aspects of our brands." Legrett has been working with Poleman, Brad Hardin and Greg Ashlock behind the scenes on plan to fill Jeffries' void.
