iHeartMedia and acclaimed actress/singer-songwriter Minnie Driver will launch a new podcast: "Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver." In the intimate talk show style podcast, Driver will ask a wide-range of celebrity guests the same seven "mini" questions to uncover larger truths and help us better understand ourselves and the world around us. It premieres March 24 with new episodes airing every Wednesday.
Each week, Minnie Driver will sit down with experts and trailblazers across a variety of disciplines. In asking her guests the same set of seven questions, Driver explores: How are we the same? How are we different? How do we become who we are? What does it mean to be human? In the premiere episode, Minnie will chat with actress Viola Davis. Throughout the episode, Davis shares the story of her fateful trip to the Gambia, the lessons and pain of losing her father and how the eight-year-old version of herself helps her find joy. Other podcast guests will include Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl, journalist Ronan Farrow, Tony-nominated playwright Jeremy O. Harris, actor and author Alan Cumming, and many others.
"I have wanted to share this crazy idea for a podcast for such a long time," said Minnie Driver. "I question everything about the world around me, and I'm so excited to share these questions I've discovered and host these conversations that can help other people find happiness, self-love and belonging, too."
"We're excited to bring ‘Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver' to our listeners," said Conal Byrne, CEO of iHeartMedia Digital Audio Group. "Minnie has a rapport with her guests and audience that is so genuine and magnetic, and we're excited for people to hear the incredible stories she uncovers with her guests throughout the series."
