Jason Murphy has joined Adams Radio in Tallahassee as the new Program Director of heritage CHR WHTF-FM, Hot 104.9. The native Hoosier began his broadcast career in 1995 in his hometown of Lafayette, Indiana and worked his way through college at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He will begin his new position on September 15 and can be heard weekdays from 2:00-6:00pm.

Murphy served NRG Media at KQKY Hits 106 taking the lead in programming and hosting mornings for nearly ten years and making the station the #1 rated CHR-Pop station. Murphy returned to his home state and most recently was programming a classic hits station in Bloomington, Indiana.

"Being invited into listener lives is the greatest honor in radio," said Murphy. "I am excited about this opportunity with a great company that believes in local radio. The Tallahassee listeners already prefer our music mix, and we are just getting started on building listener loyalty on every platform used to tune into the station."

"Murphy brings an energy to WHTF that has been missing for too long," said Ron Stone, President & CEO of Adams Radio Group. "We are excited to have him on our team and leading HOT into a very successful future."
