SportsRadio 94WIP night host and Philadelphia icon Big Daddy Graham (aka Edward Gudonis) died on Wednesday evening. According to Audacy, Big Daddy was one of the most popular and well known voices on WIP, entertaining the area nightly over the last two decades. In addition to talking Philadelphia sports fans through the many ups-and-downs over the years, he was also known for his love of music, his stand-up comedy routines, the many books he wrote and the television shows he stared on.
Big Daddy's legacy at the station continues, as his daughter, Ava Graham, is a contributor on the station's morning show. Multiple Twitter posts have poured in expressing sympathy for her and the station's loss.
"WIP lost one of its best people, and this city lost one of its cherished, most talented entertainers," said Angelo Cataldi on Thursday morning. "We all here at WIP are devastated by the news."
