Butler University Athletics and its multimedia rightsholder, Learfield's Butler Sports Properties, have announced a new flagship station for Bulldog men's basketball for the 2021-22 season. A new deal with Cumulus Media Indianapolis calls for WXNT (CBS Sports 1430 AM) to carry all Butler men's basketball games this season. WXNT will air both exhibition basketball games, with the first broadcast on Saturday, October 30.

Mark Minner and Nick Gardner return to the PNC Butler Radio Network. Minner will handle play-by-play duties for the ninth consecutive season alongside Gardner, who enters his 16th season as Bulldogs' analyst. Fans can also listen to Gardner and Minner on the 30-minute pregame and 30-minute postgame shows. The station also will carry a two-hour pregame show at four select home basketball games to be announced later.

"We appreciate the continued partnership of PNC Bank throughout Butler Athletics, including the PNC Butler Radio Network," said Butler Vice President/Director of Athletics Barry Collier. "We are excited to work alongside Learfield's Butler Sports Properties and Cumulus to make WXNT the radio home of the Bulldogs, highlighted by Mark and Nick, who are tremendous ambassadors for our university and incredibly talented at delivering Butler Basketball action to our loyal fans."

Cumulus Indianapolis Vice President/Market Manager Chuck Fredrick said, "As the largest and most dynamic cluster of media brands in the state, Cumulus Indianapolis is honored to join the Butler Bulldog team. The fabulous broadcast team of Mark and Nick entertaining Bulldog fans with exciting basketball from iconic Hinkle Fieldhouse and Big East venues creates such a unique experience."
