KAJA (KJ97)/San Antonio Names Alek Halverson as PD

iHeartMedia San Antonio appoints Alek Halverson as Program Director for Country KAJA-FM (KJ97), effective immediately. Halverson joins iHM San Antonio from the company's co-owned cluster in Austin, where he most recently served as the Assistant Program Director for KHFI (96.7 Kiss FM). He also served and will continue as the afternoon talent for KASE 101. Halverson began his career at KVOX in Fargo, ND.

"Alek is one of the rising stars within iHeartMedia," said iHeartMedia San Antonio and Austin Senior Vice President of Programming Jason McCollim. "With his tremendous knowledge of the country music format, we knew he was the right person to lead this excellent brand. I know our entire team in San Antonio is excited to watch him take the reins and elevate the brand of KJ97."
